Project Objectives
Pedal Guerrero is a recumbent trike shop located in San Antonio. Recumbent bikes places the rider in a laid-back reclining position, and recumbent trikes are the three-wheel version. I was able to create a very successful website during my summer internship. The owner is a recumbent trike enthusiast and his mission is to help cyclists feel great about their own trike. In addition to trikes, the shop also carries high-end hand cycles and racing wheelchairs. They are the only repair shop in San Antonio that specializes in fixing recumbent trikes.
The Challenge
Our goal was to create a modern and classy website that could both inform incoming visitors about the shop while also giving them the option of having a test ride. We created a series of offset columns and overlays of photos that help give the site a more modern feel. One of the challenges was being able to overlay pictures, but I was able to fix the problem by using z-index. Z-index allowed me to stack elements. For example, an element with a higher stack number will always be in front of an element with a lower stack order. Another problem that I faced, was creating long separators. I was able to fixed the lines by giving it a higher width number and taking the padding down to zero from both the right and the left side of the container.

Key take away
The website was challenging because it was my first fully developed website that I had to code for Luna Creative. But I had the opportunity to see how important is to have a good communication between the developers and the design teams.
